As San Diego natives, we have seen the evolution of the local economy and have been excited by its vibrant culture, innovative business, and unique people. We invest in and manage apartment and commercial buildings throughout the county. We are experts in identifying opportunity, leaders in adopting innovative solutions, and uniquely qualified to sustain growth for owners without compromising quality for tenants.

Considering managers for our own buildings years ago, we were unsatisfied with the limited options and antiquated practices we found in the Apartment Management Market. We made the decision to manage our own properties because we did not trust anyone else with our valuable assets. After years of success with our own buildings, we began offering our unique, tech driven approach to clients… and so began Urban Coast Properties. We are a young, motivated company who has built its foundation on transparency, innovation, tenant care, and proactive maintenance. 

We pride ourselves in approaching everything we do with integrity, transparency, and innovation. We treat every building as if it were our own and every tenant as if they were our only customer.

John Henry Winter-Nolte

John Henry first began his real estate career as a university student at Gonzaga by  purchasing and then managing an apartment complex near the university.  Ever since that first experience with property management, he has grown his knowledge and experience in management, tenant/landlord laws, and construction management.  He always embodies the concept of treating tenants with respect, dignity, and fostering long-term relationships. John Henry holds a degree in Finance & Marketing from Gonzaga University.  He is a licensed broker in California and a native San Diegan. In his free time, you'll find him coaching baseball or soccer at local high schools.

Joe Brady

Joe has fully dedicated himself to the real estate industry over the past 13 years. With extensive professional real estate experience in brokerage, investment, property management, CMBS, RMBS, warehouse lending, corporate lending, and asset underwriting, it’s without a doubt that his love of real estate and prudent investing runs deep. Joe holds a dual undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics from Villanova University, and a Masters in Real Estate Development from New York University. Joe is a native San Diegan, who in his leisure time enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Regional Property Manager, Leasing Director
Phoebe Lyons

Phoebe has been in the real estate industry for over six years. As the RPM & Leasing Director, Phoebe is in charge of overseeing all activities with regard to leasing and development, and serves as the head of property management. Phoebe’s goal is to provide a service to our clients that will meet their needs and surpass their expectations, while creating a healthy relationship between tenants, owners, and management. Phoebe is a licensed Real Estate Agent, and holds a degree in Business Administration from Sierra College.

Kevin Cotant

Kevin first joined Urban Coast Properties as an intern in the leasing department. Since then, he has pivoted into a significant role in operations, administration, and tenant representation. He excels in customer service and brings an unprecedented level of enthusiasm to all tasks. As a native San Diegan, he is passionate about his hometown, and employs an appreciation in working with people while providing effective solutions for both clients and tenants. Kevin is a graduate of San Diego State University and holds a BA in English and International Relations, and is actively pursuing his real estate license.

Commercial Manager, Portfolio Accountant
Jack Gilligan

Jack recently joined Urban Coast Properties and splits his time working between the Leasing and Accounting departments. Before joining our team, he worked for two years at Deloitte in their San Diego office. He now enjoys being able to interact with prospective tenants and property owners, all while providing an unprecedented level of enthusiasm and precision with each task. As a San Diego native, he looks forward to taking part in increasing UCP’s presence in America’s Finest City. Jack is a licensed CPA and holds a BA in Accounting and an MS in Taxation from the University of San Diego, he is also actively pursuing his real estate license.

Devin Fragoso

Devin first joined Urban Coast Properties as an intern & “jack of all trades,” handling maintenance projects, inspections & move outs, and an array of leasing duties. As our Senior Leasing Associate, he continues to excel in tasks respective to leasing and tenant representation, and employs a high level of enthusiasm and expertise on our team. Devin holds a degree in Criminal Justice from Mesa College, and is a licensed Real Estate Agent.

Brian Tagle

Brian joined Urban Coast Properties with a background in property management, bringing with him extensive leadership and management skills. Having now been with UCP for four years, he provides a unique skillset to the team and always puts others first. Brian is focused on providing outstanding service to our tenants and owners, streamlining operations and improving management efficiency. Brian is actively pursuing his Real Estate License.

Office Administrator, Maintenance Coordinator
Savannah Hill

Savannah recently joined the Urban Coast Properties team with a background in property management. As the maintenance coordinator and office administrator, she provides an expert level of supervision for the maintenance department and coordinates various office tasks with skill. As a new West Coast transplant, Savannah is eager and excited to pursue her career in real estate in San Diego! Savannah holds a BA in Marketing & Management from Kennesaw State University, and is actively pursuing her real estate license.

Jesse Rugama

Jesse brings almost 22 years of work experience to Urban Coast Properties and maintains a strong work ethic. Jesse has worked in almost every type of construction and can fix just about anything. As the Maintenance Supervisor, Jesse provides oversight and strong experience in remodel, maintenance services, and general contracting. He has a work ethic that drives him to be one of the best project managers for Urban Coast.

Larry joined Urban Coast Properties with an extensive background in maintenance for apartment & multifamily management. His unique skillset with an emphasis in unit turns, HVAC, painting, plumbing and repairs, is one that adds an integral level of growth to the UCP Maintenance Team.

Luis Aguilar

Luis's background in multifamily maintenance has a scope in unit turns, plumbing & electrical, painting, and various general contracting skills. His proactive work ethic and top-notch completion process for all jobs and projects adds a high level of success to the maintenance team.

How can we help?

From retail to office and everything in between, Urban Coast Properties provides commercial management services for our clients which includes collecting rent, charging back CAMs/NNNs, monthly reporting/accounting, and handling any maintenance or projects that may arise.  We contract with appropriate vendors to ensure the property meets necessary safety and code standards.
